Fra Filippo Lippi
About 1406–1469
Orphaned as a child, Lippi entered a Florentine Carmelite friary. Medici patronage later supported major commissions. His workshop trained Botticelli and his son Filippino, while extended fresco projects took him to Prato and Spoleto.
