Tiepolo trained with Gregorio Lazzarini in Venice and drew strongly on Veronese. With his sons Domenico and Lorenzo, he decorated the Würzburg prince-bishop's residence in 1750–1753. In 1762 they moved to Spain to work for the monarchy.
