Qu Ding

Little is known about Qu Ding. The catalogue of Emperor Huizong's collection records three summer landscapes by him. The Metropolitan Museum tentatively associates Summer Mountains with this painter. This attribution locates the scroll within a body of work without establishing the circumstances of the artist's life.
